Nice to See Scientists Looking At Things From a Real World Perspective

Scientists studying the great blue whale, these are magnificent creatures and a wonder to see by the way, have identified through their research that the whales are put in harms way, i.e. being hit by ships, due to certain shipping lanes here on the left coast during certain times of the year.  Instead of a knee jerk "shut everything down" approach these researches are suggesting alternatives and win-win scenarios to protect both the whales and shipping alike....nice to see an approach that takes all perspectives into account for a change.  :u: :u:

if you have never seen a Blue Whale, do EVERYTHING in your power to do so..... without a doubt one of the most amazing things I have ever seen....

there is a whale watching tour out of Dana Point which is amazing... these guys know the ocean off of SoCal and rarely miss...

Agree 100% Scrub.....the first time we saw one was while deep sea fishing.....came up 40 feet from our boat....spectacular only begins to describe the experience  :u:
