Whether it's in Game 1 or game 2, the #2 Starter will need to win at least one game in these playoffs.  It all comes down to philosophy, are we trying to win one game, or win the whole thing?  I wasn't just asking you Teddy, wanted to hear from people who attended games yesterday.

I don't know, but if I had to guess I would say that they threw their Ace. I can't imagine a coach sitting his best pitcher. That would take giant cojones...like kick a 30 yard fg in the Valley Championship with no time remaining sized cojones...right izne?

CW went all in on this staff and applaud their admin for doing so but it seems to be backfiring as if they can't improve, then they will need to make some tough calls in December/January.

Who all did CW add to their staff or what changes where made?

I would like to see Centennial and Frontier pull off the road upsets.

looks like the SYRL is doing well with Frontier, Stockdale and Centennial all winning and the TRAC has really fallen off.

17 starters is a great core to return. Obviously filling the QB spot is vital but when you have 17 returners that is big.  From the looks of it  they return their entire O-line which is a huge benefit.

well you also got to remember their Varsity team is loaded with 2026 talent. Most of their 10th Graders were major impact players on the varsity team. BASICALLY they are a super young and talented team.

How many of these 39 started or played a lot? That's a solid core of kids

Why does the Central Section have 6 divisions in football when the Central Coast & San Diego have 5? The Sac-Joaquin & North Coast have 7 which seems like a lot for them too.

Does the CIF allow each section to determine how many divisions they will have? Because from what CWclass is saying it seems that there is no rhyme or reason for the number of Divisions per section

CUSD still misses a lot of talent too!!! Have you seen some of the kids walking around campus? Pancotti was the last person I saw actively recruit students on campus (CE)!!!

this is one of the reasons I believe a good head coach gets the right guys in place at the lower levels. Those lower level guys can recruit their own campus and can also be detrimental to the program by running kids off.  I'm not advocating turning Freshman and Jr High football into AYSO everyone plays but I have long felt that coaches at those levels would benefit the program more from focus on fundamentals and developing kids than focus on Wins.

The boundaries are a mess, if you live in the new development on Shaw and Leonard/Highland you are in Sanger's district even though you could throw a rock and hit CE.

how does that work, Sanger is not in CUSD are they? Who has to enforce if a kid has to go to Sanger but lives next to CE?

Its not hard to believe that the district doesn't care about the talent pool being diluted, its surprising that a district like CUSD that for a long time prioritized athletic excellence would take steps that hinder said athletics. How would they increase enrollment? Will the new campus be built outside of what is now CUSD boundaries? What are the enrollment numbers for the CUSD school?
