Yeah.  That herd immunity they talked about in 20/20.  That's an extremist, bat crap crazy idea now.

I agree.  The extremes on each side are passionate.  Thankfully, mine and my husband's family seem to be in the middle.  Some vaccinated, some not.  Mostly for jobs, except his brother's significant other.  I'm sure she's on booster 27 by now.

First, WELCOME BACK.  I've been chumming the water with controversial posts trying to get some bites and create some momentum.

I understand your position.  Same as my daughter.

If I took the poll today, the numbers might be different...

Thanks IZ!  It's good to be back 😁. We moved off our mountain and are now city slicker flatlanders 😱😂.  Who knew how cool it is to run to the store mid dinner for one ingredient lol.
You are great at chumming the water and making people think.  I've always appreciated that about you.  Believe me, I don't take anything Covid related lightly and I respect everyone's decision on what they do to stay safe/healthy.  For me, there are a million inconsistencies since this thing started in March 2020, that I don't really know what to think.  Frustrating as heck, that's for sure.

Her brother said she won't rat anyone out for a lesser sentence.  Wow, just wow.

Looks like I'm the lone wolf here.  I haven't gotten it and do not plan to at this time.  I will admit that I've been on the fence a few times, but the uneasy feeling I get when considering it, is stronger than the feeling I should.  I'm NOT an anti-vaxer.  I'm also not a conspiracy theorist.  I've also never been one that wailed about 'big pharma', but I can certainly see some big pharma BS with this if it's mandatory nationwide.  My biggest hurdle is that ONLY doctors and scientists that agree with the vaccine are considered 'credible'.  Any dr, no matter how successful or revered they have been, or are now, that disagrees, or at minimum, believes that it should be a choice, is a fruit loop.

Good grief.  Title IX was enacted to make sure girls had equal sports as boys.  Now boys can take a girls spot on the team.  I guess the crazy feminists got what they wanted... 'equality'.

Fresno County is the number one county in the nation for Covid spread. Hell yeah this sucks, hell yeah there's ancillary effects that we are going to be feeling for a long time now. At some point, as a county, we need to get our act together, instead of responding to every single decision the politicians make negatively.

I disagree.  The people affected by the 'ancillary' damage are just as important as those affected by covid.  There is no way they eating in a restaurant is of a higher risk than going to Walmart, Target, Costco, HD, Lowe's, etc.  what has happened is people are literally funneled to those places because they are the only places to go to.  Costco was so packed people were bumping into each other.  The lady in LA that had her outdoor dining shut down while the movie company was able to put up a tent and tables right next to her patio dining?  The LA County Health Dept has said...maybe 3.5% of cases are from restaurants.  No...something is wrong.  I'm not saying there isn't a virus and that people shouldn't take precautions, but the over kill regulation here isn't doing any good and making things worse.

Is this ever going to end?  If you look at states that have not shut down, their numbers aren't much different than ours.  I would even say that total deaths, if you include all of the collateral damage, we are worse off.  Looks like the city council is supposed to vote on this possibly tomorrow.  I imagine there will be 1 no vote.

I'm very good friends with his DIL...and never knew he lived 2 miles from me and I passed his house every time I went to town!  I think because he had something about Auberry Senior Home or something like that under his avatar.
I miss him on here too...his late night posting were entertaining...you had to read them before he woke up the next morning because he usually deleted them lol

Lee Brand is taking a beating for not 'officially' designating Fresno a sanctuary city.  Yet these same people will complain when infrastructure falls apart.

Does anyone remember when the Feds threatened to withold funds for hiways over the speed limit? It's a little vague in my mind, but seems like we were going to go to 70 or 75 and nixayed it when fed monies were not going to come through.

Trump is threatening to withhold fed money, and Brown is threatening to withold CA taxes to the Feds. Which one is going to be the loser?
