Can anyone tell me (or tell me where to go) the final league rankings for 2019 Girls Golf? Final Tournaments?

Well, it is time to talk about the elephant in the room when it comes to Varsity programs and their feeders. I have never seen a year where more and more of the programs are dropping their Frosh programs in favor of the "Frosh-Soph" idea because of a lack of involvement. I know there are several programs out there that have not had a Frosh program in quite some time, but we are seeing it now run all the way up to some Division I schools now. So I am asking for responses, but is this going to be the new trend, or is this a phase? 

Are there any teams out there being affected by the bad air? Are games going to be pushed back?

I have attended 3 games this year, and in each one of them, "targeting" was called. I consider myself knowledgeable about the game of football, and have yet to truly see "targeting". Is it something coming from the CIF that referees are supposed to look for and call each game?

The downfall with this theory is it is all up to the judgment of the official... and some officials have trouble keeping up with the game in the first place!

Here we are, almost to the middle of February, and we still have Fresno High, Hoover High, Edision, AND Sunnyside that have head coaching openings. Somebody HAS to know something out there! Right?

What are we looking at with timetables, interviews, hirings, applications, etc. This is going to be a HUGE task ahead for the admin of Fresno Unified.

What a shame... Some people just don't get it.  :d: Greg Smith has time to make himself better and improve in a better system that was going to help him become a better player. He admitted this year that he was lazy and taking plays off! Does this mean he is all of a sudden going to change and be a great NBA player? Gimme a break!

Positions are filling in quickly... Amazing what the coaching wheel has spun us all for this year! I think there are just as many still open as there are filled! Good luck to all the coaches in new spots, and the future coaches in their new jobs.

Maybe it is just me, BUT... It seems as though crowds for high school school football games have become scarce! I watched the highlights on the television stations and see less and less people in the stands. Are there too many options out there for student bodies? Are parents not supporting teams like they should?

The one thing I do see on tv is that the smaller divisions seem to pack the stadiums they are in on both sides. I realize they are in smaller stadiums, but the school spirit just doesn't seem to be there.

I realize this is a football board, but there is a cross between basketball and football playoffs here. Too many teams are in the playoffs that do not deserve to be there and it shows! I do not keep up with a lot of high school basketball, BUT... I believe these scores are embarrassing for the teams and the districts need to start jumping in and say that this is all a waste of money. There is no reason a Selma should travel down to Ridgeview and get beat by 38 points! In these tough economic times, schools and districts cannot support this type of decision making. I have put other scores down here for you to see.

Monache loses to Garces by 33 points
Mendota loses to Kingsburg by 37 points
Granite Hills loses to Hoover by 45 points

During last night's board meeting (after they approved Coach McKinney as Head Football Coach), the school board tied 3-3 in a vote to have the option to eliminate ALL high school athletics. This will save the school district $2.2 million dollars.This is a sad day when districts are even thinking of cutting the things students have to keep them going to school. :cry:

Might as well have 1 topic with ALL of the coaching openings coming. So let the rumormill start! Any news on any of these can be placed here. So, here are the ones I know about...

Sunnyside?
Clovis West (possibly)?
Garces?
Golden Valley (Merced)?
