Throw Paso on the list, strange way to be let go.

According to the district's board of education code... "Both of these governing documents relate to the hiring procedures of athletic stipended positions and the process in which qualified teachers employed by the district must have a preference in the hiring process. " translation means the panel hired the most qualified candidate in 2017, but someone got their feelings hurt and filed a grievance. Wow. Good luck to the next person (on campus teacher) that gets that job.

Torres High School currently has the Athletic Director, Head Counselor, Department Chairs, and Activities Director positions open. Once those are hired on, the real work begins. As for the name, the decision was also made to name the mascot "Toros"...

Central Section Football / Lack of Frosh Football
July 22, 2019, 10:48:45 PM
Well, it is time to talk about the elephant in the room when it comes to Varsity programs and their feeders. I have never seen a year where more and more of the programs are dropping their Frosh programs in favor of the "Frosh-Soph" idea because of a lack of involvement. I know there are several programs out there that have not had a Frosh program in quite some time, but we are seeing it now run all the way up to some Division I schools now. So I am asking for responses, but is this going to be the new trend, or is this a phase?

As stated earlier, Madera Unified School Board approved the hire of alumni Kenny Paolinelli as the new head coach at Madera High School.

Madera High, via MHS AD Twitter, "Big news coming on Wednesday" (meaning they will announce it tomorrow). They are having a special board meeting to approve the new hire tomorrow night.

Read the title and note bud, but if you don't think so you could check calpreps yourself.

I read it again, the rankings didn't make sense. It wasn't a shot at you, but it tells everybody the computers running calpreps aren't up to date.

*Note; these aren't my rankings and calpreps.com hasn't completed their process, but here's today's rankings.

Division VI: 1. Strathmore, 2. Sierra Pacific, 3. Kennedy, 4. Riverdale, 5. Orosi.

Division V: 1. Mendota, 2. Firebaugh, 3. Dos Palos, 4. Desert. 5. Sierra.

Division IV: 1. Selma, 2. Golden West, 3. Chowchilla, 4. CVC, 5. Chavez.

Division III: 1. BCHS, 2. Tulare Western, 3. Hanford, 4. Memorial, 5. Tehachapi.

Division II: 1. Tulare Union, 2. Sanger, 3. Ridgeview, 4. Garces, 5. Sunnyside.

Division I: 1. Bakersfield, 2. Clovis West, 3. Central, 4. Liberty, 5. Edison.

These can't be anybody's rankings. There are too many mistakes in divisional placement. Sanger is D-I, Hanford is D-II, Chowchilla is D-III, etc.

Matt Johnson new Madera South Head Coach

How bad is it at Edison that a coach will leave there to go to a D-IV program?

CM is the best college ready QB...... and if any PAC 12 or SEC Schools have offered him, then not one of us can act like we are  better evaluators then them.
the Clovis high kid is not even close. and Central kid will be pretty good, but i predict he will be more of a MWC player

You spelled A(drian) M(artinez) wrong.

I ticked off right now because I have so many questions still.... :(

It makes me wonder if he is a member here and read the posts. Why a SMU helmet when he said he was from Michigan area schools and Wayne State? So many questions...

Coach G, how did you even find these?

I actually saw one from a Jerald Pettrucci asking for his HUDL account to check out film! LOL

The next HC at Madera High School will be announced at the board meeting on Tuesday next week.
#15
Madera held first round of interviews yesterday. Hopefully they will have the process completed next week and board approved to get the next coach in place and begin to prepare coaching staff for the upcoming season as soon as possible.

Kingsburg beats Hanford.

I couldn't disagree with you more... There is less than 1% chance Kingsburg is even in the game by the 4th quarter. Not a sound passing game for Kingsburg, and the defense  is going to have match-up problems all over the field!

And yes, of course, that is why they play the game. But come on!

Are you suggesting that it warranted police intervention?  In Madera?  A town where it is a misdemeanor to leave your house unarmed?
I am not implying anything. I am simply trying to eliminate the rumor that it was a helmet slap in the middle of practice.

Personal note: no, in no way did this need police intervention. But because it is Madera, the players and families should be more "thuggish"?

....what I "heard" was a good ole GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR A** helmet slap..... When I coached youth I used the whistle on their helmets....since little crack to get their attention. I didn't get mad at the kids....just tried to get their attention so they understood correct technique saved them from injury.

It was not a helmet slap or a whistle wake up. The "incident" happened before practice started.

I know this is not a score, but I get so excited when these threads pop up! Thanks again for everything BIGSKIN.

Hilarious.!!!!!!!! You must be smoking to put madera at the bottom...As a matter fact, I don't even see madera south at the bottom this year they will surprise some people. Especially with the majority of their players returning and last year's beast of a quarterback...Jonah Johnston running that offense......Cmac...lookout..!!!

Easy there young buck... the reason Madera South is not at 4 or 3 is the loss of their line. They are going to be talented with the RB and QB returning as Juniors. SJM is listed in the middle because you never know who is coming in and who is going out with anybody related to that program. Every year they are not very good at the JV level, but always manage to make it work throughout the season. Now that they will be in Division III, they can make a run any year.

I may have made a mistake. That mistake is putting Edison above Sanger. Sanger is always well coached and has a good pieces coming in from their JV team. As for Madera, they are returning a lot on defense which should be improved from last year's team.
