State Playoffs

State playoff brackets are released and there are some head scratchers on the boys side.

Mission Prep D2 finals - D4 state
Sierra D3 finals - D4 state
North (Bakersfield) - D3 champ - D5 state
Kerman D4 champ - D4 state, but #16 seed

I know the CS relies on the Maxpreps ratings for their seedings, but is this what the state playoff seeding committee is using as well?

Three TRAC girls teams were put in D-3 for the state playoffs.  Clovis, Clovis East and Central (last year's D-2 state champions).

I have nothing against the players and the coaches at North High School in Bakersfield. The players do not get to choose who they compete against. They just go out there and give it their best shot and they have been very successful at that this year. BUT, for an almost 2000-person student body to be competing in division 5 for the state finals is a bit silly...well done, CIF, well done!
