Firebaugh dominate?! Yea I highly doubt that last year they were an average team at best.

Top teams for this year
Avenal- they return 20 out of 22 starters from a very good team last year including all the running backs studs like Alvarez and Barrera. The key for avenal is gonna be staying healthy as they don't have a big roster if they do watch out they might be the front runners..

Mendota-they also have key players returning at the skill positions including Cardenas who might be the best QB in the league not to mention they got mejia back who the kids love and play their hearts out for.

DP- they are big and physical if they go back to their old style of football they gonna make some noise, no doubt they will be led by their best player #47 Flores he is a stud at MLB

Coalinga- will be interesting how they look this year 2nd year under coach Lewis and his system. They lost pretty much all the playmakers they had from last year so they are gonna be very young this year.

Tranquility- it's always a mystery with them they do have a couple good athletes including Tafolla who pretty much plays everything and this will be his 4th year playing varsity.

Firebaugh-They must the most improved team by far if they think they will dominate this league but I guess time will tell. They have a pretty good QB who likes to scramble a lot. Will he be enough to Carry firebaugh or they have secret players no ones know about? :D

Yea Firebaugh game real shocker :huh:, we took our starters out with 9 minutes left in the 3rd quarter and this was supposed to be our trap game?

it wasn't much of a game Avenal just has too many injuries at key positions right now and every time they make a mistake they just breakdown the first drive they were pounding Firebaugh and after the INT inside the red zone it changed the game completely but they will be alright there the entire team is really young.

They should still go by record then head to head and then by point system If there is more than two teams with the same record I know senior division will have 3 if not 4 teams with a 7-2 record

is herb Johnson back? Avenal played them week 0 and he wasn't on the team and from what I was told by some of the jv players he is not even going to school anymore... the QB they had I believe was #3 he looked ok but I wasn't impressed Johnson was by far a better athlete kid was an exciting player to watch..

Ya that would be a good league.  BUC fan u think toads would take last in wsEL? U crazy!! Toads would win that league the wsl is a tougher league.

Can't stand by while someone spews stupidity! The Toads move to the WSL had nothing to do with our football teams competitiveness. It was financially motivated, the teams in the CSL didn't want to make the trips to the west side! In fact the Toads were in the valley championship a few years ago, 3 I believe, and have done well in DIV playoffs the last few years! We are down this year, but will be very competitive in the WSL.  WSL teams really wanted a credible team like the Toads to join their league, so here we are. We would've much rather stayed in a sequoia division league, WSeL would've been a good fit, but they didn't want us! You draw your own conclusions why. Please make sure you are factual when making claims about things :x! Toads vs Mendota should be a great game, but everyone who has a clue recognizes that the previous years champ holds that title till they are actually beaten by someone in league! We are glad to have the toads on our league because its more competitive and they will always have a solid team in the WSL but as far as you guys would rather be in the Sequoia league I wouldn't be so sure about the one because to be honest  you guys will probably  finish last place in the league and from the looks of it the future as far as football doesn't look very good either jv is what 0-6 with 0 TD's all year??

yup your right the kids are to young they werent ready yet but they will get it together all the starters will be coming back except for 3 plus the jv kids that are coming up are just as good or better even tho jv made a lot of mistakes they still beat Coalinga's jv 32 to 0 so will see

Your right clinchDB9 last year avenal had the same record before getting crushed by coalinga but then again coalinga last year had a great group of athletes plus this team its far from the type of teams they had the past couple years.
