Quote from: izne1home on April 02, 2024, 12:08:30 PMAs I recall, it almost cost Tee Shepherd a scholarship to Notre Dame. He got bad advice from his entourage.Your way off with that one!!!!! Tee couldnt get enrolled at ND so he went JC in Mississippi then went to Ol Miss.
Quote from: ironman45 on March 19, 2024, 05:14:57 PMCoach Goston has stepped down as the head coach at Memorial. He will still be the Principal. There was a letter that was sent out.Coach Arax !!!! Lets Go!!!!
Quote from: hardhitter23 on March 12, 2024, 01:26:12 PMFrom Goggle he was with the New York Jets the last two years and before that I believe he was at BuchananCoached for The Seattle for 4 years or so.... Before that he did the Bill Walsh internship with Denver. Before that he was Fresno State, Before that He was at Fresno City, he did Coach 1 season for CN I Think.
Quote from: TeddyKGB on March 11, 2024, 01:50:52 PMso where exactly has Manning been coaching the last season? He is going from Edison to LV Raiders? For the last 7+ years he has been coaching in the NFL, Before that he was with FSU, Before that FCC.
Quote from: DEE on March 11, 2024, 01:00:35 PMdb coach at FCC should put in for Edison jobThat wont never happen, I think he is Right where his hart is at, And he is at a great place in life and his career
Quote from: ironman45 on March 08, 2024, 12:46:27 PMI heard that Edison may have named a HC....an alum. However, not been announced. Did Selma make a decision? If its Not Rob Golden or Rick Manning I cant think off the top of my head of a coach who is an alum that has enough experience. This must be the Admins way of saving their jobs...
any news on CVC or Parlier??
Quote from: ExCoach on January 29, 2024, 11:20:55 AMWow, interesting hire (not saying good or bad, I don't know). Super young head coach. Has he been coaching anywhere?I think anytime an AD throws a young very inexperience coach in as a Head Coach, Your setting that young coach up for failure. I think they took the easy way out this go around. I get going through the process is work. But a coach who only has a few years coaching experience, and only been a position coach is alot different than beong a head guy. I though the guy who took over last year did a great job of holding the program down
Quote from: Darth Backer on December 14, 2022, 09:13:30 AMI dont want to name drop, its not professional and not my place, but they got a good one!!
Not official yet?
Quote from: hardhitter23 on August 22, 2022, 11:21:25 PMIt was bad!! Very Bad. RK Should have beat them!! Edison plays Hoover next. When was the last time they played two D5 teams ever!!? Edison had the ball on the 2yd line and elected to throw the ball 3 times then run it on 4th down and got stuffed. Number 1 from RK was killing Edison and their DBs. I will Say Edison along with their coaches are very young!! so there is a lot of upside. Wish them good luck.
Edison high School playing RFK how was this game even that close :D :D :D
Quote from: FresnoLegend on December 16, 2021, 08:25:08 AMBradstater DID not rebuild Roosevelt program..Not sure what makes you think that..
Well I wanted to wait and let the dust settle on this one. This resignation was a much much bigger surprise than the Hammond news IMO. I'm sure everyone is aware, but Gio is a top coach in the section/is a great person.
Alright now for same coaching rumors I have herd around the grapevine.
Ross Woods (-120): No longer a dark horse, but a central figure in the clubhouse, this could be a smooth changing of the guard. Woods has authored Buchanans success on offense and I sure bet the kids would love to play for him. He has the inside track to job unless someone is hired from SoCal.
Bernerd Berrian (-110): Oh no, things just got awkward. I herd the Ex-NFL legend will throw his name in the ring for the Bears. He has helped develop this receiving corps and added a vertical element to Buchanan that it lacked before he got there. His big name could continue stock piling transfers and keep the farm system that is Clovis North/the rest of the valley coming. Almost like the NIL of sorts.
Vince Branstetter (+200): This man built the Roosevelt program back up from nothing, I wouldnt be surprised if he could be the man for the job to keep Buchanan going. He could bring in his coaching staff and really take Buchanan to the next level. I herd he might take the year off, but only apply for positions he really wants and would have support.
NorCal/SoCal guy (-150): This job will have a heavy amount of applications from coaches across the state Buchanan has competed with some top dogs lately. Wouldn't be surprised if they could pull a coach from the Trinity League like they did with Jacot.

The Anthilllegend has some experience in getting noticed, offspring getting noticed, and players that the Ant coached getting noticed.............
#10. Bench in excess of 300 lbs or 150% of your body weight
#9. Or, rep 185 lbs. a minimum of 20 times (30 x's would be excellent)
#8. Have a power clean of at least 275 lbs. or double you body weight
#7. Have a vertical jump of 35" or higher (not as critical for linemen)
#6. Have race horse legs......."no cankles"......this is critical for linemen!
#5. Run a sub 4.6 forty (skill player).....linemen, high 4's low 5's.
#4. Clock off a 20 yard pro-shuttle in the 4.0 area (skill players)... be quick!
#3. Look like an athlete when you run and execute drills.....have imagery!
#2. Have the required GPA and SAT or ACT scores (sliding scale)....with the appropriate number of core classes passed. Stay on track do not fall behind, and stay away from online fixes.
#1. Produce on the field (hustle every down)........"the eye in the sky never lies"
Do these simple 10 steps......and you are in the D1 club.

Quote from: anthilllegend on June 08, 2021, 08:03:19 AMThis is not really accurate ....Depending on your position a college coach does not care if you bench 185 20 times..lol.. Nor does he care how much you power cling...lol...smh..
