I saw this on footballscoop.com

Templeton (CA): Templeton HS is looking for a home game on either August 23rd or October 4th.  We need a home game in 2019 and would play at your place in 2020. We are a public school of 740 on the Central Coast of California. Last three years our record was 8-22. Please contact the Head Coach, Don Crow at [email protected]

Thought I would pass it on.

Central Section Football / Changes in Paso Robles
December 06, 2018, 11:59:28 AM
Some of the district administration that came from the Fresno area have resigned.  Chris Williams, the superintendent, and Rich Clayton, the district AD, have resigned. A few new board members won in the recent election is a possible reason.

A friend of mine that teaches in that district text me this morning.

The Central Section has made their "initial" placements for the 11 schools that play 11 man football from the Central Coast area.  Pretty interesting:

D1-Arroyo Grande, Paso Robles, Atascadero, St. Joe's of Santa Maria
D2-Pioneer Valley, Righetti, Nipomo
D3-Templeton, Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria

One year deal because they come in the 2nd year of the current cycle. There is a board of managers meeting next Wednesday for the Central Section.

It is a shame that kids can't stay off those things during the season.

Central Section Football / Another new head coach
April 12, 2011, 07:37:00 AM
I know they aren't in the Central Section any longer, but I think they still play at least one team a year from the CS.  Templeton has another new coach, their 4th since 2003.

There is a rash of new coaches, the valley has about 20-22 new coaches.  Seems like the long term coach is a thing of the past.  The most common thread I see about guys getting out is that they don't want to spend the time or that their admin is not supporting them.  That goes hand in hand.  If your admin supports you and helps with some details, them the time commitment is easier to handle.

Central Section Football / All-Star 7 on 7 concerns
March 08, 2011, 07:28:07 PM
Many high profile D-1 coaches are voicing concern over these all star 7 on 7 cometitions.

Here is a link to a very informative article.

Looks like they don't want football to turn into what goes on in basketball.

Seems like a lot of openings in the Bako area.  I thought with three leagues people would feel they have a better chance to compete for a league title.  I know that Highland was Hartnett's decision and Shafter was the Principal's decision.  Were East and North forced out or did they step down on their own?

Tim Hartnett stepped down at Highland.  He was an excellent coach and a very good guy.  He would sit and talk football with anybody that wanted to learn or just shoot the breeze.

Jim Maples mom died last Saturday, three days after his father ( a former USC running back) underwent triple bypass heart surgery.  Not a great way to start the holiday season.  Our prayers are with Jimmy and Randy (his brother) and their families.

I was reading the San Luis paper on-line this morning and this article was on the front page:

http://www.sanluisobispo.com/2010/04/15/1105210/stipends-eliminated-for-paso-coaches.html

I hope no districts in the valley have to cut that deep.  What a shame for people that put on a tremendous amout of hours .
