Looks like Hartigan has Jserra up and running.

CWClassof2007

They seem to always struggle in Trinity League play. They're 34-5 in non league under Hartigan & 5-30 in Trinity League play. It just shows the kind of talent the rest of the league has. They have finished 2-3 once, 1-4 three times & then 0-5 three times in seven seasons.

Does anyone know what CVC reports as enrolled for placement purposes

They have to be under 500 to be in that division.

So does anyone really understand where the ratings on MaxPreps really come from.  I have tried to read their explanation to no avail.  It just says what it is not (picked by coaches etc.) I keep trying to figure this picture out.  Our local divisions do not seem to aline at all with these state divisions and I am just trying to understand why.  Is there a good place to figure out attendance numbers?

It's on the CIF website, every division in the state and where they align in the state playoffs.  Most D3, D4, D5 and D6 teams are all in State Play-off division 3 unless they are under 500 total students in which case they go in D4 state.  The Maxpreps rankings are aligned with www.calpreps.com.  Central Section D2 is state D2.  D1 is D1 and open.

if you are looking for school enrollment, try going to CBEDS. Can't remember, but I believe that can be found on the CIF central section website.

Agreed, but last year D2 Serra was set to be awarded an Open state bowl regional spot, but was beat by Chaminade in a  CIF section championship game.

CWClassof2007

I read on Cal Hi Sports today that Mark Tennis thinks that if Edison/Bakersfield win out they'll play the San Diego Section champion in the D1 south game.

Who knows. MaxPreps vs. Cal-Hi?

   What a boring 500th post that was. So anticlimactic.
Winning is not a sometime thing; it's an all time thing. You don't win once in a while, you don't do things right once in a while, you do them right all the time. Winning is habit. Unfortunately, so is losing.
