Keep an eye out for Alec Trujillo at Memorial. The kids a stud! He was the starting varsity QB for Exeter as a freshman last year before transferring to SJM this year. The kid is a STUD!!!

"Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever

You have to wonder how much "pull" CW has when it comes to getting there kids recruited.  I assume it's a lot.  Its not what you know, its WHO YOU KNOW.
Martinez is definitely a D-1 player, but I didn't see anything super special when I watched him play against Liberty.

I will say this, I watched some highlights from the Garces vs SJM game and that Garces QB is scary.

I guarantee you that "knowing somebody" is NEVER going to get a NCAA Program to make ANY offer AT ALL !!! It might get a Coach to take a look at your kid on tape - and if they REALLY like what they see - it might get them to send somebody by to look into the , now considered prospect,. It will NOT get any Program to make an offer to that prospect until they all ( esp the Head Coach) decide that this kid can help them WIN !!

Coach you very right... I have a ton of college coaching buddies and no 1 will offer a DB just because I said so... Its like Bronco said, it will get a position coach to look at film, but the green light has to come from the HC and the DC and or OC. A lot of those kids played on Tony Perry summer team which can create some buzz for a kid.

I should have elaborated a bit more in my comment.  What I meant was Clovis West can pick up the phone and call a college coach to have them 'LOOK' at a player.  From there its up to the player to perform.

You will be surprise on how many high school coaches CANNOT, I REPEAT CANNOT do that. I only know a few HC how can really do that. and your righ,t the players do have to show. but it takes more then him having to show on the field. Not sure if you guys know this, but just because a kid can get into school A doesn't mean he can get in to school B. every university has it own requirements. just because your kid is a qualifier does not guarantee he will be accepted to a particular university.
I think the CW kid is the best college QB prospect in our area. I know there are good high school QBs but none on this kids level. he might be he best QB sense Dave Steels Tyler Brey

Is CW one of them? What about club coaches?

It's just not how it works.  It blows my mind how the system works as opposed to how people (especially parents and club coaches) think the system works.

It is not the schools.....But coaches.... and not all club ball coaches can call a caoch. in our area, the only club coach that I know for fact that can do that is Tony Perry..in Bakersfield/LA area its the guys at Ground Zero. some may lie and say they can, or may know (A) college coach. but most cannot call a coach and have that coach answer his call..
You see a lot of these coaches deal with coaches who they have a long running trustworthy relationships.
recruiting can be crazy. Just because at one point you have a kid being recruited by schools doesnt mean you have contacts. in most cases you will never hear from that coach again, it can be because they dont have time, it can be because he has moved on to a different school..etc....but the coaches that have a long standing  trustworthy relationship, are the ones college coaches look for when recruiting a certain area. Most of the time they ask is there any other kids in the area they might not know about. and you should give them the kids name along with his school and his HC name or contact info if you happen to have it. and thats how some coaches find these players/HS. You also have HS coaches who start meeting College coaches because of the players. Some players get on club teams DB GURU and blow up and now the kids HS coach will get to meet coaches. so it can be a win win situation. What I dont like that some, not all club coaches do, is step on players HS Coaches toes when it comes to recruiting, and that is where I personally have a problem with.
SO I hope this Book LOL answer your question

I believe this. I've seen the film on him, and I hear he's been giving the starting SJM qb a run for his money. Hopefully we'll see him play this season at some point ;) Lol
