Rams have a good staff, but the numbers are way down. I was at practice this week and counted only 14 sophomore boys on the JV team. The Varsity numbers are really low too, looks to be around 27 total kids on Varsity and only about 25 freshmen out there. Looks to me like Garces needs to follow San Joaquin Memorial and Bakersfield Christian's lead and drop the Freshmen football team and only field a JV and Varsity team...the numbers dictate it then you can't fight it, might as well drop it.

Not surprised by those numbers with some of the decisions the last couple years. Hate to drop the Frosh team but Van has it right as the numbers don't lie.
Good news is Coach is a program builder and should bring the Rams back to D2 contention soon.

We fine and dandy in D2. New Coach, New Direction as we work to get back to 2011,12,13 style.

I hope the committee has different leadership.

Coach Frank did a wonderful job while a Garces. He would be welcomed big time and the players know him well.
The other name you added has been passed on at least 3x with no chance.

We really don't want a coach we passed on once or twice already. Been there done that. For Garces to compete we need a coach that attracts players to come to our school not exit it
Someone of high respect like a Golla, Nixon, Provensal types are great choices if not a Garces guy like Dt or Shipp would get the program going again.

Has anyone heard any murmuring around the football program up on the hill? 

A surprise to no one.

High School football the way it should be played. Great game down to the last play. Hope they are seated 2 and 4 so we can have a South Valley Championship game.

Teddy, On a year we are moving to the power league and at the time to D1 the off season was a disaster. The nation wide search took to long since it only went as far as John L backyard fence.
If it was TA from the start then he should have been announced and take over the program. The wait hurt the team as we lost some very very important pieces. Not fair to him or the program.

Ok now time for Tail to quote me and add his personal attacks on my thinking.

Sorry your both incorrect. I have no kid playing at Garces or any other school as I am way to old for that. I have no little Johnny. I have no family or friends attending Garces or any other school either. I did attend Garces, I do attend most games home and away for past 20 years. I do not claim to be an expert or a coach just simply a fan of the game and of the school. I use this forum in the past to tell you how great the Rams are and I now use it to vent my displeasure with the program today.

and I don't mind that TA got the job. I object to the way the way this was all handled.
