Well there are a litany of reasons as to why this happened to TD.  His 'personal issues" statement is just an attempt to save face.  He's gone...far too many transgressions to come back from..IMO

There is precedent for a CUSD baseball coach taking a year off and returning.  I'm pretty sure I remember George Chandler being the HC at Clovis High for a season.  I don't recall the circumstances, but "personal reasons" stated by Donald is a very broad term and definitely leaves the door open......

Let Buchanan and CUSD govern themselves. If they want Tom and Gambrell, then so be it. Just take your kids somewhere else much like parents have done sending their kids to Buchanan for the last 10+ years. So my question is with this whole situation with Donald, how in the hell is Garret Ruby apart of all of this going on with the baseball team, when 1, he isn't a coach, 2, he isn't even an employee for BHS..  but he has so much say in what is going to happen for hat baseball team, promises he has made to parents for what team he is going to be on..  I heard about Donald's  suspension 3 days before it was even out from Garret ruby and his kid going around school telling everyone..  he recruited Ware to come over from Fresno state, was talking about it before it even happened..  he should be banned from even being around these coaches and telling them what to do and where they should put kids, etc.. on told of Donald, should have been fired form his affair along with Moser, she should be gone, but oh no they are still there..  and i believe gambrel is the one to blame for all of this including letting Garret Ruby Run the shows and making promise to everyone..  it's BS

Gambrell needs to go, Donald needs to go, and Ruby, smh, as arrogant as they come, needs to go.

When I traveled as a cusd athlete we had an administrator chaperone our trips. We understood that if we got in any trouble the administrator would handle it and we'd be driven back to Clovis with the admin. We still did whatever we wanted. After coaches did bed checks we were out and about. I imagine things haven't changed much.

This is pretty much how it went down for me too.

So you think if Donald is cutz he wont go somewhere else?  I still think somebody will pick him up.  He is a winning coach.

And also after already watching Clovis play this year it looks like kp is already starting to pass the baton...it seems like an Asistant who I'm pretty sure is his son is making most of the calls and is giving signs from the dugout.

If someone has the truth then please let us hear it so we aren't miss informing anybody. Seems like some people know the truth but are to scared to say it. Donald thinks he can get away with anything and he has for a very long time, but enough is enough he needs to be punished.

How can you misinform anyone of you don't have the truth?  People aren't speaking out on here for fear of consequences.  But I agree, Donald has gotten away with far too much for this to just go away.

So, guessing it should all come out soon then? These Buchanan players have had it rough the past few years with the all the madness going on there.

Not hard to figure out the Ayon/fontes situation. Ayon dad played for him as soon as he went back to central Ayon transfered from Bullard. Then left central to go to Buchanon once it was known he was going there. 3 schools in 3 years fallowing a coach and playing for CS summer travel team ran by Buchanon people if that's not enough what is? But The Bears are like the Patriots a lot of slaps on the wrists and trophies.

I wonder if it has to do with the incident between him and the dance teacher, or maybe him knowing players sexually assaulted a female student. Is there anything else he has done that he hasn't gotten punished for. With all the coaches on staff Fontes shouldn't have been the one to take over. On max Preps it says Silvia is the coach.

Heard from a reliable source that Tom got a 2 week suspension can't go into details and that Brad is the Head Coach during that period. Beyond mad that this is happening and a player can follow a coach from one school to another and not sit out at least 30 days in the same League talked to couple trac coaches and they said call Chrichlow at CIF and let him know. This is awful to close so can't say more. But everyone needs to know what happened. The lineup I saw play Bullard had 7 kids that did not go to Buchanan's middle school. Needs to be known. Would like to see what people think of this. PLAY BALL

About time some consequences come their way.  2 weeks is a slap on the wrist however.

As far as college recruiting is concerned 7 vs 7 is absolutely useless.  No college coaches can attend and competition is spotty at best due to athletes playing other sports. If you notice many of these 7 vs 7 coaches are assistants at various schools so of course they have influence to make kids transfer that goes with out saying.

When it comes to college recruiting the #1 FACTOR above all else is how you perform at the High School Combines because that is the only place where everything is an even playing field.

At The Combines:
Height is verified
Weight is verified
Speed is verified
Quickness is verified

and the results are made public, that's where recruiting begins.

The way college coaches look at most high school coaches is they have no idea what they're doing. In that regard even your high school film takes a backseat to combine numbers because all competition is not created equal.  It's all about the VERIFIED measurables baby if you fit the measurables colleges will find somewhere to put you.  These college coaches are extremely busy and don't have the time to sift through all of little Johnny's Hudl account unless he fits the VERIFIED measurables bill.

The only position that may be an exemption is QB.
