While everyone is on standby waiting for the green light to begin. I was wondering if anyone knew of any walk-on positions at any of the high schools in Bakersfield?

All Bakersfield news stations report that the Head Coach has submitted his resignation.

Well here's an unfortunate update. This thing has made it to the rotation of HLN news. Saw it this morning. They call it  "del-aw-no, ca" rather than Delano , Ca. But nonetheless, it's out there.

Last night Mr Pagmeter tweeted a video from last Friday's game between Delano & Mission Oak. A unfortunate incident where a large number of Delano players hit, kicked, and stomped a Mission Oak player on Delano's sideline. Also shows what looks like a Mission Oak Coach being assaulted in the back of the head. This type of behavior is uncalled for. If you've not seen the video, it's on Mr Pagmeter's twitter page. All the Delano players should be expelled in my opinion. I pray the young Mission Oak player is ok.

Templeton #2 & Kennedy #3? I could be wrong. But I'm certain Templeton lost to a team that Kennedy beat. Doesn't that count for a head to head criteria? I don't know how good Washington Union is. But with Kennedy's 8-0 record and that one common opponent both Kennedy and Templeton share, I'd switch #2 & #3 myself.

Or maybe Stockdale is better than "average." Shelton and his staff are working their tails off at Stockdale. Give them  a little credit.

Anyone in the South Valley in Bakersfield land have an update w/the East Bakersfield HS situation?

BVarsity reported earlier that Coach Grider stepped down from East Bakersfield for family reasons. Praying that everything comes out for the positive for Coach Grider and his Family.

With that said, what does EB do now? I wish everyone involved all the best.

That was a good game. We're glad we got there early too. The stadium was packed. Shafter is good! A game like last night gives youth players like ours something to look forward to. Last night's atmosphere was energetic.. But clearly Shafter was the better team.

I am glad I am a little more hip to this site now.. I love reading the non-filtered, direct replies that Teddy gives. Teddy, you're good my friend!
