Good Afternoon,
While everyone is on standby waiting for the green light to begin. I was wondering if anyone knew of any walk-on positions at any of the high schools in Bakersfield?

Last night Mr Pagmeter tweeted a video from last Friday's game between Delano & Mission Oak. A unfortunate incident where a large number of Delano players hit, kicked, and stomped a Mission Oak player on Delano's sideline. Also shows what looks like a Mission Oak Coach being assaulted in the back of the head. This type of behavior is uncalled for. If you've not seen the video, it's on Mr Pagmeter's twitter page. All the Delano players should be expelled in my opinion. I pray the young Mission Oak player is ok.

KENNEDY vs SHAFTER! This ought to be a great game! Honestly, other than the highlights that I've seen on tv and articles I've read in the paper, Shafter looks legit. I along with a couple of other dads and players from our youth team drove to Delano early in the season and watched Kennedy beat a good Liberty team from Madera. Kennedy was loaded with good players. I'm curious to know more about Shafter if someone can add some insight.

I'll go with Kennedy in a really close game. We will make the short trip from Bako to Shafter for this one. I'm guessing a big crowd will be there. GOOD LUCK TO BOTH TEAMS! This is what high school football is all about.

A month ago I watched hometown sports and Greg Kerr really hyped a preseason game between Kennedy and Liberty of Madera. I along with some of our youth team made the short trip from Bakersfield to Delano to watch this game. It turned out to be awesome. We saw two good teams but truly saw how loaded Kennedy was.

Apparently Kennedy took all that Wasco could give them last night. The score wasn't as high as Kennedy is probably used to. But they won nonetheless. Current record 7-0.

Shafter looks like they breezed through another opponent last night. All wheels look to be in motion without any hiccups. Current record 7-0.

I looked at Maxpreps and both their respectful schedules say they play each other in 3 weeks after byes. I hope both these teams can go in at 8-0 like everyone is predicting. That would have to be the game of the week in Kern County. And again, I'd take my whole youth team to that game.

Good luck to both Kennedy and Shafter. I'm rooting for the both of you.

After watching the B-Varsity show online tonight.  The Kennedy and Liberty-Madera game might be worth the short drive from Balersfield to Delano. I think I'll take a few of my youth players to watch. This one looks like it could be a good one. I have to stick with the Kern County team on this one. GO KENNEDY!
