I didn't realize that was possible. But there are 5 days in between the quarterfinals & semis. Then 7 days between the semis & championship. So everyone who has a bye could ride their ace staight through the championship. Another reason why a best of three championship needs to happen. A week between round is ridiculous too. I'd personally love to see California implement state playoffs for football & baseball similar to what they do in Texas. But I know getting rid of section playoffs will never happen.
So both TRAC schools lose to the Bakersfield school they played.
Besides Buchanan, nobody in the Tri-River Athletic Conference can swing it.

Overrated? Last time i checked the TRAC had 3 teams in the top 50 nationally. Don't know if you are a TW supporter or not, but those particular Mustangs will have a tough row to hoe vs. Whittaker. If memory serves you didn't face him last time........Good luck though. I respect what TW has done over there in building a competitive D-1 program.
The TRAC having 3 teams in the top 50 nationally shows that the people who come up with these rankings do not watch the games. Clovis North got blasted by Woodcreek and tied lowely Redlands. Not to mention, losses against Clovis East and Central. As for Clovis, they lost the season series to Buchanan, Clovis North, and Clovis West. They went a combined 1-8 in those games. Those teams are deserving of being nationally ranked????

Really, that's how you want to play this? This is what I get for trying to complement a good program. I have seen MaxPreps and CalHi reps at MANY Clovis and Buchanan games. I assume they have watched CN as well. When I talked to CalHi editor Mark Tennis at a Buchanan game he did say they sent a rep to watch TW as well, but the guy took a wrong turn and ended up at the Curti Dairy in Waukena instead. Clovis is actually 2-8 vs. CW, CN and Buchanan but 20-0 vs the rest of the world, including TW. All your stats prove is the TRAC is freaking TOUGH..........enjoy the game.
People in Clovis will be surprised after tomorrow's results I think!
