Just in off Pagmeter David Griffin is the interim Coach David is a baseball guy who played at Fresno City then Fresno State then drafted by the Reds. Quality person will run a good program.

In my many years of watching High School baseball most late round games are given away as opposed to being won kids get over excited and can't deal with extra pressure and excitement there is no way to practice this that's why you hope they hit the ball to a senior. Last night the wild pitch really set up the error. In the end these are kids. It's just tough.

Governor most serious hitting instruction is a lot alike stay in the middle of the field hit strikes. Troy I am sure is a very skilled hitting Coach Buchanan is going through a tough patch.Confidence is extremely important and it seems that could be part of that couple little things have cost them. The biggest difference between the levels is size and strength.

Know this is a Prep board but want some opinions watched Fresno play Air Force and loved how Air Force stood at attention during the national anthem but got very ticked off when fans heckled the Air Force players thought it was classless what does the board think.

Have not seen as many games as usual because certain factors but interested in who people think are the top teams really like 2 of Clovis High's pitchers and looks like a few Buchanan kids have moved into the district. Heard from a few of Buchanan grads and there is some grumbling hopefully 69 will confirm what I heard. The season is ready play ball.

Congratulations recently graduated Bulldog Payton Allen on being named the new Head Coach at Mt Whitney.

Don't know Troy personally but he is a ex big leaguer so the hitting side should be in good hands. Don't know his Coaching style but will be very baseball savvy. Believe it is a good hire.

Going out on a limb but think the Coach will be Troy Glaus.

My insiders where right Long time Track and Field coach from Ventura. Has been AD for a while.

My insiders tell me that they went outside the area down south the new AD had a daughter that plays sports and is already playing. We will see how good they are and that he will hire the new coach so it's wide open.

Heard from very reliable sources that Fontes is leaving due to health concerns hope all the best to Brad a very nice guy wish him the best. No telling who the next coach will be.

Have been very critical of the play this year but would like to know what players had great years. Did not see nearly as many HS games as usual because I was watching College. Just love HS baseball in general.

OV is a great young man who has been at Fresno State since he was a freshman in College a Bulldog through and through great hire for the Dogs know him personally very low key in public but can burn hot on the field he will do things right. Good day for the program.

Teddy to me the beauty of High School baseball is anyone can get lucky get hot have breaks go your way and win. The best teams don't always win that's way it is so exciting anything can happen on a given day congratulations to the number 9 seed Cent. On a great win. Won  the most important 3 games

Governor like you a lot but cannot disagree more with you Centennial is number 1 period they won the ONLY games that matter all on the road they will always be the D1 section Champion they will be the only team that made History they get the banner the rings and all that goes with winning. What team dogpiled and celebrated and what team had there head down. There is not 1 kid in the Buchanan dugout who can say we are number 1 after losing last night. Congratulations Centennial

Think this is a 53 47 game with Stockdale being a slight favorite based on experience both teams are solid and deep this I think will come down to one big play. Don't see a lot of runs so who scores first has BIG advantage playing at Buchanan helps the Bears going to give the call to Stockdale just because Governor asked. Should be a great High School baseball game.

CW players fans and Coaches had high hopes for this years team a roughly 500 team and 1st round blowout loss was not what the expectations where for this team it struggled to score runs so I think you would have to agree either the players where not very good or that they underachieved. As for Central underachieved no doubt and it's a joke they are playing D2. Really like Mitch but you cannot nominate 7 guys for TRAC recognition when you finish last 2 second team guys and 5 honorable mention. PS honorable mention is a joke not every player deserves recognition.

The drop in the talent level in the TRAC and Fresno Clovis area has been huge have my reasons why. But a big reason is listening to the wrong people the truth is this Senior class is way down on D1 or Pro skills type kids. Have kids ask me all the time what school do I think they should go to and I tell them make first team  all league as a sophomore or junior then we can talk. Get hits off a D1 commit if a pitcher k the D1 hitter a couple times BE GOOD Hell Buchanan only beat AG 3 to 0. Sorry for venting but you cannot believe what kids and parents say. Labby caught a ton of heat for telling the truth.
