What does everyone of the new rules for next season with the NFHS eliminating the 1 & 1 and double bonus...

Rule is now you get 5 fouls each in quarter leads to 2 shots like in the NBA.

I like that it rewards teams that attack the basket and draw fouls, and I also like that it teaches coaches and the kids to defend without fouling.
The thing I dislike about it is it will slow the pace of the game down considerably for a defense that fouls a lot.

I've talked with a few coaches some like the changes and like you said their concerns are pace of the games, 1 assistant coach I talked to even said he would not be surprised if this lasted just 1 season.

Isn't there a rule too that if you don't have your roster in the book, it's an automatic administrative tech?

Just to clarify, are you asking if one team has not written in all of the players, with their numbers, into the official scorebook prior to the start of play? If so, then yes, the officials can issue an administrative technical foul where the game begins with two free throws and the ball. Now, most officials, when they check the official book about ten minutes prior to the start of the game, will check with each head coach that the roster is official. They will sometimes get the head coaches to even sign the book to make it official. This gets a bit murky during tournament games where games start back to back and time is limited, but the official rule does state that all eligible players must have their names and numbers written in the official scorebook 10 minutes prior to the start of the game.
