This is why everyone should be throwing a crap fit right now. We used have a very good idea what the brackets would be by this time of year. Now nobody has a clue who will be in what division. I predict there will be some seriously pissed off people come November 1st.

You got a Critchlow cronie as commissioner who is not very good. As a result, teams who should be getting good seeds don't, and teams who don't deserve good seedings get them.

How coaches are ok with playing down a division will always blow my mind... I can understand younger guys in the millennials age range that's how they have been conditioned but not guys over 50. not one of those teams should accept anything less than the bracket where they play the TRAC schools.

could you imagine that year Central went 7-5 to go down and play D3????? It would of been insane or the first year they did this and a mid D1 Bakersfield was facing off against a Mid D1 Bullard for a D2 championship. This was so wrong on so many levels

Look the section has been doing dodgy crap since before I was born.  In the 50s they put bhs in a league by itself literally.  Then they got rid of section titles in football for 10 years on the late 50s thu late 60s ... I mean it saves you all having to hear how Bakersfield won 3 or 4 more titles than we have.  And probably foothill would have gotten one too.  I don't know that coaches in Bakersfield get to choose, seems like AD and above issue?  Does anyone know?

Can someone tell me why it seems that BCHS doesn't play the fs and jv games vs bhs teams?  The bhs fs or jv drove to Burbank hs for a game yesterday ... how can they be in a league if they don't provide competitive teams at all levels ?

BHS lost this game. 2 fumbles that BC took advantage of. BHS had it.
BCHS is the top school in Kern.

Went to shafter/kennedy. Kennedy looked like whipped dogs tonight. Looks like the loss to wasco carried over to this week. Play calling was awful and no one seemed like they wanted to be there tonight. Got outside their game and tried throwing way to much.

Shafter's sloan is a stud. He's got next level speed. Wasco/Shafter game is going to be a good one.

One of the reasons Boise State offered Sloan is their data analysis program clocked him at over 21 mph on a run last year.  From what I understand, he was the fastest RB they were looking at for the class of '26.

Coaches spinning things to recruits?  Wouldn't surprise me.

I will say that has been reiterated to us by their coaching staff.  Maybe Smith and others like him were off the board when the statement was made?

Was not able to make the game, but my understanding is that the Drillers qb went down early, but the back up can move!! Apparently BCHS was not able to move the ball on the ground against the Drillers. This game should put an end to any nonsense that BCHS is ready to take on the bigger D1 teams like Central East. The Drillers look to be climbing back to the top, now they have to drop the East LA teams and start playing some legitimate competition.
